Taron Egerton’s newest action film is looking to rewrite the story of Robin Hood into a medieval Bruce Wayne. From the look of the first trailer, it’s not really clear if the new take on the classic character will work, but with a cast that includes Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, and Jamie Dornan (who can actually act when he isn’t in a fifty shades movie), the movie could have a chance. Tackling the role of Maid Marian this time around is Eve Hewson.
In all honesty, the trailer is a little too all over the place to get a good handle on anything other than the fact that it’s an action movie designed to be female-friendly enough that it will work as a date movie.
