Alien: Covenant, the sequel to Prometheus is currently filming in Sidney Australia and there are some spectacular fan shots popping up from the set. The most interesting shots to hit the internet are of the aftermath of a battle. It looks like several humanoids have been flash burned to the point of turning to carbon statues at the moment of their death.
The carnage comes to us in a tight and wide show. On the zoomed out photos, you see several of the humanoids appearing to have narrowly missed escaping to shelter up a set of stairs. There’s also a great shot of one actor (possibly Michael Fassbender?), in what looks to be the ruins of a primordial forest.
I’m sure it’ll all start to make sense with the trailers begin to hit. Either way, we’ll know for sure when Alien: Covenant is released on August 4, 2017.
