First Teaser For Matt Groening ‘Disenchantment’ Netflix Cartoon

Simpsons creator Matt Groening is heading over to Netflix for his newest animated series and we are getting our first look thanks to a teaser released by the streaming network. The animation style is a little different than Groening’s previous outings (Simpsons, Futurama, and The Critic), but they work, and any animated show with John DiMaggio (Bender/ Jake The Dog) on the cast is usually worth watching.

The new show is set in a fairytale style past and features a voice cast that also includes: Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery. The 10 episode first season will hit Netflix on August 17, but you can probably bet that they will screen an episode or two at Comic-Con next month.

From the mind of Matt Groening, comes the 10-episode adult animated comedy-fantasy series, Disenchantment, launching on Netflix, August 17, 2018. In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.

The series will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson (“Bean”), Nat Faxon (“Elfo”) and Eric Andre (“Luci”), along with John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.
