If you hadn’t heard about Anomalisa until now, don’t worry, neither had I, but there’s something special about this stop motion film from the writer of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. There’s been some pretty amazing stuff done in recent years with Stop Motion, especially over at Aardman (Wallace and Grommit) and Laika (Paranorman, The Boxtrolls, Coraline), but none have ever really used the medium to make a film so anchored in humanity.
