The summer blockbuster movie season might be shot, but Netlfix is still here for us. Earlier today, the streamer released the first trailer for Extraction, an upcoming action flick starring Chris Hemsworth, directed by Captain America: Civil War stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave, and written by Captain America: Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame director, Joe Russo.
In the new film, Chris Hemsworth is a black-market mercenary hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. If you are looking for the bright comedy of a Marvel film, this movie is not going to give it to you. Instead, Russo has written a dark and gritty tale.
Extraction was filmed in Thailand and costars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli, and David Harbour.
Netflix has world rights and will premiere on April 24.
