First Trailer For ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’

It’s the day after Judgement Day. Well, it’s the figurative day after Judgement Day because it sure does seems like a lot of time has passed since Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor last graced the screen in 1991. One thing is for sure, she’s back and she’s going to try and save the future from Gabriel Luna’s new Terminator that can split into two entities.

Along the way, she’s going to team up with Halt and Catch Fire’s Mackenzie Davis who appears to be some sort of human/ Terminator hybrid as well as what appears to be an old man version of the T-800 (I’m very curious to see how that works).

I’m not sure if I loved the new trailer, but it is definitely promising. If there was one thing that struck me as kind of strange, it was the music. The Terminator franchise has always been about strong women. For the trailer’s music, they took a song from a truly unique female singer (Bjork) and used a male cover for it. Maybe it’s just because I grew up listening to Bjork and the Sugarcubes, but it struck me as kind of funny.

Welcome to the day after Judgment Day. Producer James Cameron returns with director Tim Miller for Terminator: Dark Fate. In theatres 11.1.19.

Linda Hamilton (“Sarah Connor”) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (“T-800”) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.
