Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish’s Night School won the box office last week with $27 million dollars and a 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but Hart has always been much funnier than many of the films he’s been in. In his next outing, Hart will be taking on a role with a little more depth as he teams up with Bryan Cranston to play a man seeking redemption while working as the personal aid of a wealthy quadraplegic man. the film is based off a true story and is actually a remake of the hit 2012 French film, The Intouchables. Starring opposite Hart and Cranston is none other than Nicole Kidman.
If the trailer is any indication, we could be looking at a very uplifting and heartfelt film.
THE UPSIDE is director Neil Burger’s heartfelt comedy about a recently paroled ex-convict (Kevin Hart) who strikes up an unlikely friendship with a paralyzed billionaire (Bryan Cranston). The film also stars Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies and Aja Naomi King.
