Tim Story, the director who made the first two Fantastic Four films is back and he’s bringing the world’s most famous cat and mouse duo to the big screen in an animation/live-action hybrid film. In the new movie, Tom and Jerry as moving to the big city and going their own ways. But, after Jerry takes up residence in a fancy hotel, Tom is brought in to do what cats do best. Well, what cats other than Tom do best.

Tom and Jerry have been around as a Cartoon since 1940, so it’s going to be interesting to see how their antics play for modern kids. Honestly, it’s probably fair to say that their Simpsons parody namesakes – Itchy and Scratchy, probably get more air-time on TV nowadays than they actually do. The good news is that they aren’t going to carry the film on their own. Along for the ride are live action actors – Chloe Grace Moretz,  Michael Peña, Rob Delaney, Ken Jeong, and Colin Jost.

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s Tom & Jerry. The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them. An eye-popping blend of classic animation and live-action, Tom and Jerry’s new adventure stakes new ground for the iconic characters and forces them to do the unthinkable… work together to save the day.
