First Trailer Released For ‘Allied’ Starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard

I don’t know if it matters if this is a good film or not. Based on today’s news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are splitting because he cheated with Marion Cotillard during the making of the movie, there’s a good chance that the headline will have a more lasting impact than the film itself. You know… like a reverse Mr. and Mrs. Smith. That said, the fact that it’s got Robert Zemekis behind the director’s chair, there’s always a chance this movie could rise above it’s own noise.

“ALLIED” is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
