First Trailer Released For HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series

The first trailer for HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series has dropped and it doesn’t really tell us all that much. It seems like we are sticking to the same alternate timeline established by the original series, but many of the characters will be new. One thing we now know is that there’s a roving band of vigilantes out there who seem to be inspired by Rorshach.

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, this drama series from executive producer Damon Lindelof embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own. The cast includes: Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers and Dylan Schombing. Produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros.
