The first trailer for ‘Rock Of Ages’ just hit a few minutes ago and it packs a pretty big punch for a musical.
Other Broadway adaptations have been very successful in recent years, but this is the first one to really delve into the 80’s rock scene. Using music from Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Twisted Sister and REO Speedwagon, the movie tells the tale of a small town girl who falls in love with a rock legend. They’ve also pulled together an all-star cast to make it work.
The movie stars: Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Paul Giamatti, Diego Boneta, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Malin Akerman, Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Mary J. Blige.
The film is set for a June 1, 2012 release.
