It’s officially upfronts season and that means it’s time to find out what you’ll be DVRing next fall and fast forwarding through the commercials. First up on the list is FOX. The schedule is looking a lot like previous seasons with shows like 911, The Residents, The Masked Singer, Empire (returning for a final season) and it’s animated staple of Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy. The only truly new programming joining the slate are the shows Prodigal Son, Not Just Me, and the new animated series Bless The Harts. One big reason for this is the fact that sports will be taking up three nights on the network between football coverage and the addition of WWE’s Smackdown to Friday Nights. Check out the schedule out as well as descriptions of the new shows below:

NEW SERIES DESCRIPTIONS
BLESS THE HARTS
Bless The Harts is the new Sunday night animated entry from the team behind “The Last Man on Earth,” “Parks and Recreation. The show will tell the tale of a poor family living in the South and will feature a voice cast that includes Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, and Ike Barinholtz.
NOT JUST ME
Not Just Me is the new drama from Friday Night Lights producer Jason Katims and Desperate Housewives writer Annie Weisman. The show is being billed as an unconventional dramedy that “taps directly into the zeitgeist.” NOTE – NEVER TRUST A NETWORK WHEN THEY USE THE WORD ZEITGEIST. IT MEANS THAT THE SHOW WAS CREATED BY COMMITTEE TO SATISFY FOCUS GROUPS. The family in the story will be dealing with the emotional implications of IVF-bred children when one woman finds out that the doctor responsible for her birth used his sperm in as many as 100 other IVF treatments. The main character will then discover her sisters and will start finding how they fit in the world as a “family” and as individuals. It will star Brittany Snow, Timothy Hutton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Emily Osment, Mustafa Elzein, Mo McRaeore, and Victoria Cartagena.
PRODIGAL SON
Prodigal Son comes to us from the teams behind Riverdale, The Flash, and Chuck. It claims to be a fresh take on crime procedurals with a darkly comedic tone (you know, like Lucifer, the show they just canceled last season?). The show revolves around a criminal psychologist with a gift for knowing how killers think (isn’t that literally the job of a criminal psychologist?). Oh, and his dad just happens to be a serial killer. Prodigal Son stars Tom Payne, Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Halston Sage, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, and Keiko Agena.
