FOX Buys TV Series Based On Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’

Richard Castle now has his own comic book. It only makes sense that Frank Castle should have his own TV show.

Pretty big news hit last night that the former showrunner from the long time CBS hit, Criminal Minds, has just sold a new series to FOX that is based off of Marvel’s most dangerous vigilante, The Punisher. This means that now Marvel will have another title to join Guillermo Del Toro’s Hulk and the new Jessica Jones series’ already set for TV. Marvel is working ever so slowly towards domination of every media that involves a screen.

The Punisher is described as an hour-long procedural with a Marvel signature and a new take on one of the comic book giant’s iconic characters, Frank Castle, a rising star detective with the New York Police Department who moonlights as the vigilante Punisher, seeking justice for those the system has failed.

OK, forget the part about domination. That kinda sounds like crap. He ain’t The Punisher if he’s working in the system and his family is alive!
