The Hollywood Reporter reports that commercials director Fredrik Bonds has been named to direct Tim Seeley and Devil’s Due’s indie comic “Hack/Slash.”
With the first series in full swing after a few stand alone singles, “Hack/Slash” chronicles the adventures of Cassandra Hack, a complicated young woman who travels to small towns across the country hunting and killing slashers. She is partnered with the mysterious Vlad, a hulking gas mask wearing monster who has a soft side for Hack and serves as her protector, partner and best friend.
Alexandra Milchan, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter are producing. Justin Marks penned the script. While no production date is set, “Hack/Slash” is eying a winter start.
Director Bond is also attached to remakes of Korean killer squid flick “The Host” and Tony Scott’s early Deneuve / Bowie starrer “The Hunger.”
