While a good chunk of Ryan Reynolds energy right now is taken up by selling Aviator Gin and promoting his new Netflix Michael Bay film, 6 Underground, today, the star and his cast from Free Guy released a little teaser to promote tomorrow’s trailer unveiling for the film.
The movie, which also stars Taika Waititi, Channing Tatum, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Lil Rel Howery, Jodie Comer, and Joe Keery and is directed by Shawn Levy, tells the story of a bank teller who learns he’s a non-player character (NPC) in a violent open-world video game who finds himself caught up in a bigger story.
If the idea of Reynolds being part of a video game that he doesn’t realize is happening around him sounds familiar, you might be thinking of The Nines, a severely underappreciated 2007 film, which serves as a loose interpretation of The Sims.
