Sebastian Stan has proven he’s got plenty of range after playing both Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier and Tommy Lee in the Hulu miniseries Pam and Tommy. So, now that he’s tackled the acting challenge of playing against his own talking penis, he’s moving on to a new role that no one saw coming.
Deadline is reporting that Stan has signed on to play Donald Trump in The Apprentice, a new film from Cannes prize-winning Iranian filmmaker Ali Abbasi. He’ll be starring alongside Succession’s Jeremy Strong, and GOTG Vol3’s Maria Bakalova in a story based around Trump’s real estate business in the 70s and 80s as well as his relationship with his mentor/lawyer, Roy Cohn.
According to the report: “It’s a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of a major American dynasty. Sources tell Deadline that Strong will play Cohn, with Bakalova as Trump’s first wife, Ivana.”
