A couple of weeks ago, we got our first look at the upcoming TBS series, Miracle Workers, a show about a group of angels who are trying to convince God that the Earth is worth saving. Playing the stressed and depressed almighty is Steve Buscemi. Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Karan Soni (Mohinder from the Deadpool movies), and Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) have to make the miracle of getting two people to fall in love if they have any hope of convincing God not to blow the whole thing up.
The whole thing looks charming, smart, and just the right kind of goofy. It’s no surprise that it comes from Simon Rich, the same mind who was behind the woefully under-rated FX series, Man Seeking Woman, starring Jay Baruchel and Eric Andre.
Miracle Workers hits TBS on February 12, 2019.
Synopsis: A comedy set in the offices of Heaven Inc. When God plans to destroy the Earth, two low-level angels must convince their boss to save humanity. They bet him they can pull off their most impossible miracle yet: help two humans fall in love.
