FX’s TV Adaptation Of Bendis’ ‘Powers’ Casts Retro Girl Role

The FX channel’s TV adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis’ “Powers” is drawing closer to the filming of its pilot and the casting news is finally starting to flow a little bit. We recently reported that Charles S. Dutton will be joining the cast. Now we can tell you that Baliee Madison will also be signing up for the show.

She will be playing the role of Calista. After her super powered father goes on the run when he is accused of murdering his wife, Calista goes to live with Walker who tries to teach her to use her powers responsibly. In the comic book series, she eventually takes on the moniker of Retro Girl.

The 11 year old actress is no rookie. TV watchers might recognize her from a recent stint on Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place.” It is more likely that you’ll recognize her from her recent role in the Adam Sandler/ Jenifer Aniston movie, “Just Go With It” or the upcoming “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.”
