The cast for the GI Joe spin-off film about Snake Eyes just grew a little bit today with the addition of 47 Ronin, Cyberbully actress Haruka Abe. She joins a cast that already includes Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, and Maynard Bagang as Father.
There’s no word on who she’ll be playing as of this time, but fan speculation has her set as classic Joe character Jinx. While it’s a definite possibility, we wouldn’t be all too sure, as it is just as likely that the actress could be playing a completely new character. If she is playing Jinx, she’ll be following in the footsteps of Elodie Young (Electra from Netflix’s Daredevil) Who was the first actress to adapt the role for live-action in GI Joe: Retaliation.
Snake Eyes is currently slated for release on Oct. 16, 2020.
