It’s been reported for a while now that a remake of the 1991 classic, Point Break was in the offing. Now we’ve got word that the film has it’s new Bohdi, the role immortalized by Patrick Swayze. Picking up the surf board will be Gerard Butler. There is no word on who will be playing Johnny Utah, the role played by Keanu Reeves.
Unlike the first movie, which focused on a band of bank robbing surfers, the new film has expanded their hobbies to all of extreme sports. Johnny Utah will still be playing an undercover FBI agent who is on a mission to infiltrate the gang.
The movie is set to start shooting this summer.
