Ghostbusters Video Game Launch Trailer Released

Reviews for the new Ghostbusters film have been interestingly mixed. Critics have the film at a 77% on Rottentomatoes right now, but the ones who don’t like it, seem to really hate it. It will be interesting to see the film and find out about it for myself. That said, the marketing for the film has really done nothing to give me any urge to spend the money on a ticket.

If you do love the movie and don’t want the action to end when you get home, they’ve just released the launch trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie video game. The game, which was released today on Playstation, looks a bit like a cross between a cartoony, urban Diablo clone and Mattel’s Monster High.

The game takes place after the events of the film, so… spoiler warning? You can play solo or form a new squad of Ghostbusters that consist of male and female characters. You can also take part in 2-4 player local co-op campaign and “dynamically swap weapons during battle with unique options for each character.”

The game will feature new and classic baddied including Slimer, Gertrude Eldridge, Sparky and many more!
