We’re not exactly how much of a plot Gran Turismo will have, but we know that the cast is shaping up to be pretty interesting. Last week it was announced that Stranger Things/ Black Widow star David Harbour, LOTR/ Pirates of The Caribbean star Orlando Bloom and Archie Madekwe were already attached to the film. Now the show has also added Darren Barnet who is best known for Never Have I Ever, which has been trending for the last month since the first three seasons of the series were moved over to Netflix.

Things are moving fast on the film as production is set to begin this week in Hungary based on a script by. Jason Hall (American Sniper) and Zach Baylin (King Richard). The video game adaptation is also said to be based on a true story in which a teenage Gran Turismo player does so well in gaming tournaments that he wins the chance to become and actual racecar driver.

Archie Madekwe (Midsommer and Apple TV+ See) is playing the teen. Harbour is playing the retired driver who coaches him. Bloom is a hungry ad exec, and Barnet will play “the top at the GT academy and who is not thrilled to see the upstart teen excel.”
