With Ryan Reynolds already set to play legendary Green Lantern Hal Jordan, things are starting to heat up with the development as Spoiler TV reveals an interesting or not so interesting casting call.
The casting call is set out to find what is essentially two villains, a love interest, and a mentor.
First up, Carol Ferris, described as “female lead, 26-32… a smart and attractive woman with an MBA, she started as a pilot and now runs Ferris Aircraft. She is a workaholic…”
Second, Abin Sur, who’s described simply as “mid-30s to mid-40s, he is a great warrior.”
Then the two villains:
Dr. Hector Hammond, who requires “character actor, 27-35” and is described as “austere and impersonal, real scummy, a pathologist and also the son of a senator.”
Sinestro, who is “mid-30s to mid-40s, smart, tough, intimidating and in great physical shape.”
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
