‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Screen Writers To Pen Live Action ‘Pokemon’ Film

One of the things that helped make Guardians of the Galaxy the breakout superhero film that it was, was definitely the writing of Vet Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch. Variety is now reporting that the pair have been tapped to write the script for the upcoming Pokemon live action film, from Legendary Studios.

Along with their work on Guardians, Perlman is also currently co-writing the script for Captain Marvel with Meg LeFauve, the writer of Inside Out. Meanwhile, Alex Hirsch comes with the very distinguished fan cred of having been a writer on Disney XD’s Gravity Falls, one of the most acclaimed and respected animated series of the last decade.

Sadly, there’s still no word on whether or not Danny DeVito will be voicing Pikachu.
