We’ve still got more than a year before GOTG 3 hits theaters, but the production for the film has already broken a world record that was last held by Jim Carrey’s The Grinch.
According to Legacy Effects, the film has crossed the record for the most makeup appliances for a single production in the history of cinema. That goes a long way towards pleasing fans who want more practical effects and fewer CGI ones when possible. We don’t know the exact number of prosthetics they used, but with around a week of shooting left to do, they are probably not even done counting.
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is set for release on May 5, 2023, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Will Poulter as Adam Warlock.
