Right now, Guy Pearce is exciting the hell out of fans in each new photo and clip from Ridley Scott’s (Not An Alien Prequel), Prometheus. Now word has come down that he’s in the final stages of talks to take on a pretty important role in the Disney/ Marvel Studios ‘Iron Man 3’.
According to Variety, it looks like he’ll be taking the role of geneticist Aldrich Killian in the new story that is loosely based around Warren Ellis Extremis storyline. If he signs on, he’ll be joining Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson and Ben Kingsley.
If you haven’t read the story (and you really should), Killian is one of the co-creators of the Extremis Nano-virus and the one who sells it to terrorists.
Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black and starts filming in the next couple of weeks. It is currently set for a May 3, 2013 release.
