One of the most important parts of any good movie is the score. Hans Zimmer is not only considered to be one of the greats, but he’s also carved out a niche in the world of Super Hero movies. While his latest soundtrack on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (a collaboration with Junkie XL) has been complained about by many viewers as overbearing and distracting to the actual film, his others are considered to be some of the best.
Still, with more wins than losses in his belt, he’s decided to call it quits, at least when it comes to movies that involve capes.
“I have officially retired from the superhero business … I did Batman Begins with Chris 12 years ago, so the Dark Knight trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life,” he said in part. “This one was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language.”
