Harold & Kumar are getting clay-mated in the upcoming third installment of the stoner franchise “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas,” but if the two have their way, they may end up getting their own animated TV series.
Deadline is reporting that Lionsgate has been actively shopping around an animated show based on the dynamic duo. Comedy Central and MTV are among a number of cable networks reportedly interested.
The show would be co-produced by Lionsgate TV and Mandate. Original writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are on board to both write and produce. If the show gets picked up, both John Cho and Kal Pen have reportedly agreed to lend their voices and produce! The show of course wouldn’t be complete without Neil Patrick Harris. But as of now, there are no words regarding his commitment to the new animated project.
We’ll have more as the story breaks.
