Harry Houdini And Arthur Conan Doyle – The Next Crime Fighting Duo!

It might seem like a weird combination, but the world’s greatest escape artist and the brain behind Sherlock Holmes are about to become a new movie and SYFY’s latest mystery solving team.

First, Dreamworks has just acquired “Voices of the Dead” written by J. Michael Straczynski. The movie is based on what was a real friendship between the two characters. It then veers off into fiction as they become the original X-Files type team in the 1920’s.

Completely separate from that, SyFy is getting close to making a deal for a show called “Among the Spirits”, which is pretty much the same thing, but a TV series. The TV series will be based off a graphic novel by Steve Valentine and Paul Chart and has been described as … a turn of the century Fringe.

So what do you think? Do either of these projects sound like something you’d want to see? Any ideas on who you’d like to see take the lead roles?
