Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint To Lead New ‘Snatch’ TV Series

Rupert Grint is an interesting character. While he hasn’t done a ton of acting since Harry Potter, he has purchased an Ice Cream Truck that he drives around to give kids free treats. He’s had a couple of small movies and a TV pilot that I’m still pissed wasn’t picked up (Super Clyde).

Now, it’s being reported that Grint is giving TV another go with a small screen series adaptation of the Guy Richie film, Snatch. He’ll be playing Charlie Cavendish, a “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic, and utterly posh” man. Joining him will be Fear the Walking Dead’s Dougray Scott (Wow, the second time today, and I think in the last 3 years, that I’ve mentioned him) as Vic Hill and Ed Westwick as Sonny Castillo.

The show is slated for 10, one hour long episodes, but no network has been announced.

Inspired by a real-life heist in London, “Snatch,” centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters, and local villains descend.
