It’s a pretty widely held belief that the upcoming Star Wars Disney + series, Ahsoka will actually be equal parts about Ahsoka Tano and a continuation of the story from Star Wars Rebels. We already know that Ahsoka is looking for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn. The live-action role of Ezra has already been confirmed to be Eman Esfandi and Thrawn is rumored to be played by Lars Mikkelson, the brother of Mads and the original voice actor for the show. It has also been announced that Natasha Liu Bordizzo is set to be on board as Sabine Wren, a central member of the team from Rebels and the person Ahsoka took off with at the end of the series to find Ezra and bring him home.

It’s now being announced that Mary Elizabeth Winstead is also joining the cast as the live-action counterpart to Rebels’ character, Hera Syndulla. We know that Hera is still kicking around because she’s started popping up in various Star wars projects. Her name is called over the loudspeaker in Rogue One and she appears in an animated short that takes place after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star.

The report has not been confirmed, but it comes from Bespin Bulliten, a site with a fairly decent track record. Winstead is best known for her role as The Huntress in David Ayers’ Suicide Squad film and Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
