The rumor mill is hopping today and one of the big stories we’ve got for you is a story that started popping up from Home of DCEU but appears to be spreading. It looks like David Zaslav and Warner bros may have not only picked their next Green Lanter, but they have also picked the director for the film.
According to the report, Joseph Kosinski, who is still riding high on the success of Top Gun: Maverick, but also directed the visually wonderful films Oblivion and Tron: Legacy, could be the director who will bring the Green Lantern back to the big screen. And, if the rumor is true, the person wearing the ring will be Top Gun: Maverick‘s Glen Powell who played Lt. Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin.
This won’t be Powell’s first DC film. He had a bit part in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Kosinski, meanwhile, has about all the experience he needs to make this movie a hit.
As always, this is a rumor, so take it with a healthy dose of salt.
