Before there was Stewie, Arnold was the only football headed cartoon kid in our hearts. Hey Arnold premiered on Nickelodeon back in 1996 and ran for 5 seasons and a big screen movie. Now, a decade since we last saw him, Arnold is coming back according to a new report from Variety.
The TV movie will pick up where the show ended, not in the present day (unfortunately), but it will allegedly answer the mystery of what happened to Arnold’s parents.
We can expect more 90’s shows to start coming back in some form to Nick as they’ve now created a position specifically for it in their company… and they’ve hired the creator of The Adventures of Pete and Pete to run it.
On a side note, a lot of fans don’t know this but Hey Arnold was originally conceived as a claymation short by Craig Bartlett while he was working for Pee Wee’s Playhouse. Check it out:
