“Hong Kong Phooey” Picks Up Steam

Variety is reporting that Alcon Entertainment is gearing up its live-action/animated version of “Hong Kong Phooey” from David Goodman’s script.

The movie is “an adaptation of the 1970s Hanna-Barbera animated TV series, about a police station janitor who becomes a dog with mystical powers, including the ability to do kung fu.”

This marks just the latest cartoon license to make its way over to the big screen. I don’t know if it will be any good, but its got to be better than the Alvin and the Chipmunks Squequel is going to be.
