‘House of the Dragon’ Is HBO’s Biggest Premiere In History

There was a big question as to whether viewers would show up for a new Game of Thrones series after the garbage fire that was the final season of the original series, but any fears seem to have been allayed as House of The Dragon hit the network last night with its biggest premiere of all time.

According to a new report from THR, the show brought in almost 10 million viewers. That is the biggest number of viewers that HBO has seen since the finale of GOT drew in 19.3 million. By comparison, the original premiere of Game of Thrones garnered just over 2.2 million viewers. In fact, viewing was so heavy for the new series that some areas couldn’t even get on to watch it due to network crashes.
