When word first hit about a Jumanji sequel/ reboot, fans were upset that it would not include Robin Williams (for obvious reasons). the good news is that while Williams is gone, he is definitely not forgotten. In a recent Interview, Karen Gillan told Collider some tidbits about how William’s character, Allen, will influence the new movie.
“Well I’ve always wondered where Robin Williams’ character went for all of that time in the first one. It was sort of left to the imagination a little. That’s where this film comes in, we get to see exactly where he went and what it feels like and what it looks like I guess that’s the biggest difference.”
In short, it looks like we’ll be seeing reminders of him and his life in the game as our new players make their way through the movie.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle opens December 20th and stars: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Nick Jonas.
