Hugh Jackman Talks Post DAYS OF FUTURE PLANS And How He Heard About The Movie

Hugh Jackman is not the person I would have expected to be cast as Wolerine, but after four films, I can’t imagine anyone else having the role. Now he’s finished up his newest sequel, THE WOLVERINE, and he’s going to appear in Days of Future Past, the next film in the new X-Men Franchise. Sadly, we do not currently know what else he’ll be doing as his contract does not include any more films after this one.

It turns out that he didn’t even think he was going to be a part of Days of Future Past until he got word just before the end of filming on The Wolverine.

Regarding “Days of Future Past,” Jackman says he “first heard about it around October or November [2012]. I was literally finishing ‘The Wolverine’ and dreaming about lasagna, and about three weeks before the end, they told me.” The role is large and will reunite him with many of the original cast. “There was no way I was not going to be part of that.”

He added that he has not read the finished screenplay and has only seen a synopsis of about eight pages long.

The Wolverine is set for a July 26 Released and X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for July 18, 2014.
