So far, it looks like the only one not returning for Independence Day 2 is Will Smith (which is a shame, because he really could use a movie that reminds people why they liked him). About a week ago, it was announced that Jeff Goldblum would be returning. Now we’ve got word that Vivica A Fox would also be coming back. In the original, she played Jasmine Dubrow, a single mother, exotic dancer, and Will Smith’s love interest.
Joining the two veterans are Liam Hemsworth as the son-in-law of Bill Pullman‘s President Thomas J. Whitmore and Jessie Usher as “the son of Smith’s character.”
Independence Day 2 is due in theaters on June 24, 2016.
