DC is still kicking Marvel’s butt when it comes to their animated series and films and the first look at Injustice shows a an alternate universe take on the Justice League that blows away anything we’ve seen from What If? on Disney+. In the new animated feature, based on the popular game, Superman murders The Joker in retaliation for the killing of Lois Lane. This sends Kal-El down a dark path and basically turns the world on its head.
What results is a war between Superman and Batman and the allies they’ve gathered as they go into battle. The red-band trailer doesn’t hold back on just how dark the film gets, showing off Superman as he takes out several DC characters. We can’t wait to see the finished project when it is released on October 19, 2021.
An unthinkable tragedy propels Superman into a dangerous new mindset, ultimately pitting Justice League members against each other in Injustice, an all-new DC Animated Movie. Produced by Warner Bros.
