I loved the first Taken film with Liam Neeson so much that I’m more than willing to forgo the ridiculousness of a sequel with such a similar plot, just so I can see Neeson threaten people over cell phones and then beat them to death for my amusement.
This time out, the family of the people he killed in the last film are out for revenge and they’ll get it by kidnapping his ex-wife (who appears to be a lot less ex than she was in the last film) and his daughter who is once again played by Maggie Grace. Don’t worry, even though I didn’t say it, Rebecca Romijn is still playing the ex-wife.
So, family get taken and then things start getting real… and by real, I mean action movie of Liam Neeson being a bad ass real.
