Hollywood is set to start opening on June 12th, but animated features have the benefit of not needing to be on set, so some of them are underway. That now includes the highly anticipated Into The Spider-Verse 2.
Today, lead animator for the film, Nick Kondo tweeted out the announcement that the film has officially started production with an eye at an October 7, 2022 release date. Avatar: The Last Airbender (the TV series) director, Joaquin Dos Santos is directing the film of a script from Expendables scribe, David Callaham. The directors of the first film, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to produce the latest installment.
