Season 1 of Invincible was great, but it was also released in March of 2021. Since then, fans have been clamoring for a second season and we were promised a teaser would drop sometime today. Well, Amazon Prime kind of kept its word. The “teaser” for season 2 just dropped a couple of minutes ago.
Unfortunately, the teaser doesn’t actually do anything more than tease the fact that we’ll be getting new episodes at an undisclosed date in late 2023. The very meta teaser just features Steven Yeun’s Mark Grayson and Seth Rogen’s Allen The Alien sitting in a diner and talking about what has been taking so long for the new season to come out.
It’s fun, but a little bit of a bummer. We would have really liked to see some actual footage from the new season. Our guess is that we won’t get a real trailer until this summer at Comic-Con.
