The speculations of “Iron Man” Director Jon Favreau (aka Foggy in “Daredevil”) directing Marvel’s upcoming 2012 Avengers epic has been sunk like a battleship as Favreau confirmed that instead of directing he’ll be executive producing “The Avengers.”
“You need somebody who has the perspective of all the different franchises to bring them together,” he told MTV. “I have the myopic vision of just knowing and loving Iron Man.”
Favreau continues by saying, “I’ll definitely have input and a say…. but they’ll have to find a different director because I’m not going to be available.” Aside from “Iron Man 2,” Favreau is also directing “Cowboys vs Aliens,” a sci-fi Western that continues to pair Favreau with “Iron Man” star Robert Downey Jr.
Favreau also confirmed that Edward Norton won’t be in Avengers as “The Incredible Hulk.” Not that much confirmation was needed for this one.
