Nothing has been verified or signed, but according to a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Beyonce Knowles has her eyes set on the role and has already spoken to both DC Comics and Warner Bros regarding her interest in the role.
“I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?”
Additionally, she acknowledge how “fine” Lynda Carter looked in the costume, who made Wonder Woman a household name in 1970s, saying that she would “definitely have to keep [her shape] right for that costume”
Personally, I just don’t see it. I’m still holding out for Jessica Biel or a cloned Lynda Carter.
