Earlier this week we got a bunch of official news about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, we’ve got a rumor about what’s happening to The Spider-Man Universe that is currently under the control of Sony.
Right now, Sony is still reeling from what happened to Amazing Spider-Man 2. Not only was it the worst earner of any film in their Spider-Man history, it was pretty well universally panned by critics and fans alike. To make up for it they’ve got two more Amazing Spider-Man sequels, a Venom movie, and a Sinister Six movie all in the works.
Now, it is being reported that the studio is planning an all-female film for the Spider-universe to be released in 2017 called Glass Ceiling. I won’t even get started on what stupid name that is unless your target market is Gloria Alred.
Badass Digest seems to have broken the story for the film that will essentially throw all of their female Spiderverse characters together. We are talking about Spider-Woman, Black Cat, Spider-Girl, Silver Sable, and Silk.
