Is ‘The Joker’ Really a Standalone Film?

This is either major coincidence or major spoiler. Either way, you’ve been warned. We’ve heard a lot about Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker film over the last few weeks as filming as spun-up. We’ve seen him in clown makeup, we’ve heard him laughing, we’ve even heard tales of extras being trapped in subway cars for so long that they had to pee out open windows. It sounds like a fun set. Now, we’re hearing about something that either turns the idea of this film being a standalone film on its head or it is a complete coincidence.

One YouTuber caught some video of the Batmobile being trucked through the set of The Joker’s production area. The Batmobile in question was much closer to the one driven by Adam West in his classic TV series from the 60’s, but with a Matte paint job.

So, what does this mean? It comes down to one of three things:
1. Batman is somehow connected to the Joker film.

2. This was a complete coincidence.

3. Some dude with a custom Batmobile drove it by the Joker set looking for a photo-op.

There’s a better than 50% chance that it’s going to be #1 or #2, but what if WB has been pulling a fast one and this film is going to introduce us to a new Batman?
