As everyone knows by now, the new Wolverine film from James Mangold and Hugh Jackman is going to be set in the future, giving fans the Old Man Logan story that they’ve been asking for. Until now, we’ve had no idea just who they’d be facing. According to new reports from Nerdist News, it will be The Reavers, a band of mutant hating cybernetically enhanced humans.
While I do love the idea of a scene where Logan gets crucified, there’s a bigger issue at bay. Ever since they announced the film would be rated R, I’ve been looking to see what real Wolverine “Berserker Rage” would look like. Now, I feel like we’ve been cheated. How do you expect to give the audience full carnage when half the limbs are metal? Hydrolic fluid is not the same as arterial spray.
