It’s All A Lie: Michael Jackson Did Not Really Sing On ‘The Simpsons’

In what is quite possibly the worse and epic soul crushing news of the day, TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson never sang in the episode of “The Simpsons” where he did the voice over for mental patient Leon Kompowsky.

In an interview with Yeardley Smith, the actress who voices Lisa Simpson, it was revealed that Sony would not allow Michael Jackson to sing in the episode. So while he did provide the voice over for Leon, the actual singing was performed by a impersonator, Kipp Lennon, who was hand picked by Jackson to perform the singing.

Feel free to watch the now FAKE Michael singing the memorable but FAKE “Happy Birthday Lisa” song below. I’m upset, this ruined my day. I need to go lie down now.
