The internet blew up a coupe of weeks ago with word that Disney was going to revisit the 90’s sitcom, Boy Meets World with a sequel. Now we have confirmation that the new show, Girl Meets World will in fact star the original cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel as Cory and Topanga Matthews.
The original show followed their budding romance from middle school through their marriage. The new show will focus on them as the parents and their 13-year-old daughter Riley.
Cory will be playing a teacher at his daughter’s school. There’s no word on what Topanga does in her adult life. News of the casting also increases hopes that both Will Friedle, and Rider Strong will reprise their roles in at least the form of the occasional cameo.
