Hopefully, you’ve had enough time to emotionally recover from the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War. At the very least, you’ve probably seen enough “I don’t Feel So Good” memes to soften the blow of what Guardians of The Galaxy director James Gunn just revealed to fans on Twitter.
For most fans, one of the hardest deaths to watch in the film was seeing Groot dissolve right in front of Rocket. For those who can’t speak his language (all of us in the audience), his last words sounded like “I am Groot.” Rocket, however, completely understands his buddy and his last words may have hit him harder than anything else in the movie. According to Gunn, Groot’s last word was “Dad.”
